VerbaIDE speech recognition model - licence

This licence covers the model files published under
https://cdn.verbaide.com/recognition/ in every folder that carries a copy
of this file - the folders named "verb-tdt-..." - in every format they are
published in ("the Model").


1. What the Model is

The Model is a modified version of Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3, created by NVIDIA
Corporation and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0
International licence (CC BY 4.0).

Changes made by WD Studio: the weights were fine-tuned on WD Studio's own
recordings, and the result was converted to Core ML (using FluidInference
tooling) or to ONNX, depending on the build.

WD Studio is not affiliated with or endorsed by NVIDIA Corporation or
FluidInference.


2. What you may do

You may download the Model and run it as part of the VerbaIDE application,
on devices where you use VerbaIDE, in line with the VerbaIDE Terms
(https://verbaide.com/terms/).


3. What you may not do

Unless WD Studio has given you written permission first, you may not:

  a) use the Model in, or together with, any application, service or
     product other than VerbaIDE;
  b) copy, publish, host, mirror, share or otherwise distribute the Model,
     in whole or in part;
  c) convert the Model to another format, quantise it, fine-tune it, merge
     it with other weights, or otherwise make another model from it;
  d) use the Model's output to train a competing speech recognition
     model;
  e) sell, rent, lend or sublicense the Model.

4. The original model stays open

Nothing in this licence limits what you may do with NVIDIA's original
Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3. It remains available from NVIDIA under CC BY 4.0, and
you are free to use, modify and share it under that licence. The
restrictions above apply only to WD Studio's modified build.


5. No warranty

The Model is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent
the law allows, WD Studio is not liable for damages arising from its use.
Nothing here excludes or limits rights you have under consumer law that
cannot be excluded or limited.


6. Ending and governing law

This licence ends automatically if you break it; you must then stop using
the Model and delete your copies of it. All rights not expressly granted
here are reserved by WD Studio. This licence is governed by the laws of
Ukraine.
